‘Thudarum’ box office collections day 21: Mohanlal’s film mints Rs 107.5 crores

Mohanlal’s thriller ‘Thudarum’, directed by Tharun Moorthy, continues to show remarkable strength at the box office, even as it enters the fourth week of its theatrical run. The film has officially crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone, earning an impressive Rs 107.5 crore in total India net collections over 21 days across all languages.According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Thudarum’ debuted with a solid Rs 5.25 crore on its first day, followed by a rapid rise in collections over the weekend. The film minted Rs 8.6 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs 10.5 crore on Sunday, thanks to strong word-of-mouth and the massive draw of Mohanlal's presence. The first week closed on a powerful note, contributing Rs 51.4 crore in total, with the Malayalam version leading the collections significantly.As is typical with most theatrical runs, ‘Thudarum’ saw a slight dip in the second week but maintained steady footfalls. Week 2 brought in Rs 35.35 crore, a drop of just over 31% from the opening week—considered healthy for a thriller drama. Weekend collections continued to shine, with Sunday of the second week clocking Rs 7.5 crore. Despite entering its third week, ‘Thudarum’ showed no signs of slowing down dramatically. The third weekend generated Rs 12 crore (Friday to Sunday), while the weekdays added a gradual decent sum. Day 21 alone brought in Rs 1.61 crore (early estimates), indicating strong holdover value. “Thudarum has the same-ish mood of Drishyam”Etimes gave the movie a decent rating of 3 stars out of 5, and our review reads, “Jakes Bejoy’s music elevates the scenes, making a real impact in the storytelling.
