Nushrratt Bharuccha breaks silence on dating rumours with Yo Yo Honey Singh: 'I finally have one'

Renowned rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, who once ruled the Indian music scene with his chart-topping Punjabi tracks, has made a powerful return to the limelight recently. Over the years, however, the artist battled severe health challenges, including a difficult phase brought on by bipolar disorder. Speculations about his current relationship status have surfaced frequently, with the latest buzz linking him to actress Nushrratt Bharuccha. The actress has now addressed the link-up rumours.
The spotlight on their rumoured relationship intensified after reports suggested that Honey Singh’s former partner, Tina Thadani, ended their relationship allegedly due to his growing closeness with Nushrratt. Earlier reports claimed that Tina decided to part ways with the rapper after he was seen holding hands with Nushrratt.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Nushrratt Bharuccha addressed these rumours with humour and grace. Sharing her thoughts on being associated with a dating story for the first time, she said: “Yeh mere life ka pehla dating rumour hai. Everywhere that I have been, there has been no rumour. Also, because I have never been with anyone. When this came, I was like ‘Wow, I finally have one’. Now when people ask me these questions in rapid fire, I can at least tell them that I too had a dating rumour. I think people have no work in life and they also have a great imagination. So karte raho, I have no problem.”

In 2022, Honey’s wife, Shalini Singh, filed a case in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court, levelling multiple serious allegations against him. Her accusations included domestic abuse, sexual and mental harassment, and financial misconduct. She further alleged inappropriate behaviour by Honey’s father, claiming he entered her room while she was changing and, in a drunken state, touched her inappropriately. Additionally, she accused the rapper of having multiple extramarital affairs and engaging in casual sexual encounters.
After a long break, in 2024, Honey reclaimed his place in the industry with his hit song Stardom and an OTT documentary.
