The much-anticipated festival of Holi is here. Actor Vibhanshu Dixit is enjoying Holi in Ujjain. He talks about his excitement about celebrating the festival of colours. This year, Holi will be celebrated on March 14, which is a Friday. The actor was last seen portraying Akshay in the TV show Apollena—Sapno Ki Unchi Udann.
He said, "I'm among those who enjoy celebrating this colourful festival, I wait for it every year eagerly to play with colours and have delectable dishes. Holi is about celebrating happiness with friends and family. The festival spreads love and brotherhood. It brings harmony and happiness among everyone. Holi symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. This colourful festival unites people and removes all sorts of negativity from life."
Sharing about celebrating Holi in his hometown. He continued, "I make sure that during Holi, I'm with my brothers and childhood friends in my hometown, Satna in Madhya Pradesh. This year too I managed to return home to enjoy the festival with my family and friends. Currently I'm in Ujjain, home to the sacred Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga. I took blessings from the lord Mahakaal."
He added, "Here everyone celebrates Holi with deep devotion and excitement. The festival begins with prayers at the temple, where devotees seek Lord Shiva’s blessings before joining the colorful celebrations. It is believed that playing Holi in Ujjain brings spiritual renewal and divine blessings, making it a truly meaningful experience."
Vibhanshu, a fitness freak, is also a foodie. He enjoysthe Holi feast.
He mentioned, "While many know Holi as the festival of bright colours, traditional Holi food deserves its celebrating. Many foods are given particular prominence during the event. It is the time when I keep my fitness diet plans aside, and enjoy the festive sweets, snacks and drinks. I enjoy having those Gujiya, Pakoras, Chaats, Lassi."
He concluded extending Holi greetings, "May the festival of Holi fill our life with the colours of happiness. The vibrant colours and festive spirit of Holi remind us that life is all about celebrating love, peace and brotherhood. We all enjoy the blessings of the Almighty. Happy Holi!"
