Actor Baseer Ali, who played the role of Shaurya Luthra, a rapper in the love triangle drama Kundali Bhagya wants to stick to playing negative roles in future.
Sharing the reason behind it, he said, "I want to continue exploring new shades and sides of negative roles. I'm open to negative characters, and anything that has layers and need a strong performance. As an actor, I'm open to roles that have a certain attitude, style and not just plain romantic heroes. I don't mind if it's TV or web or mainstream cinema. I'm up for the new show."
Kundali Bhagya was a spin-off of
Kumkum Bhagya, which premiered in July 2017 and after airing for nearly 7.5 years, the show went off-air on December 6 2024.
Talking ahead about his journey on the show he continued, "I have always learnt and accepted the fact that everything is temporary. And once something ends something new starts. I take everything positively. My journey was good, I learnt and experienced a lot, made new good friends and entertained my audience. I entered the show last year around March 16, and continued to shoot till last month. I'm enjoying a small break in December now, I went for a mini vacation to Dubai earlier and now looking forward to enjoying my Christmas and New Year. I will be spending some time with family in my hometown, Hyderabad. At the same time I am looking out for interesting roles. But this was a much-needed break."
Baseer Ali started as a model and is known for winning Splitsvilla 10. He is also known for participating in Roadies Rising and Ace Of Space 2 where he emerged as a runner-up. In March 2023, Ali made his acting debut with Kundali Bhagya as Shaurya Luthra.
