Wuthering Waves Steam release date revealed

In a highly anticipated move, Kuro Games has officially confirmed that Wuthering Waves, the A story-rich open-world action RPG that has been announced for Steam launch on April 29, 2025. This announcement was made during the Version 2.2 preview broadcast, along with a patch update that will be making a debut along with the Mac version release, which is on March 27.

The invitations of Wuthering Waves-and-thus Steam will not be exclusive to PCs but will also include PS5 and mobile devices in sharing game data. This is another major perk for players, as they won't have to worry about their efforts being invalidated in case they switch platforms.

Wuthering Waves had a rather bumpy beginning but has come through very strongly in spite of it. The opening launch was marred by dreadful performance: many players were stuck lagging, and stuttering about the world was equally horrifying. After several rounds of updates and optimizations, Wuthering Waves seems to have turned the corner.
The Black Shore update in Version 2.0 helped smooth a lot of the crags, allowing for the return of a good player base and mostly positive feedback from the community. One player would even joke "Wuthering Master Race. I was going to buy a RX 580 for this", referring to the newer heights of technical expectations being set up for the game.

Now with the Steam launch just around the corner, Wuthering Waves is all set to reach an even wider audience. Steam remains the major platform for PC gamers, and its very presence there heralds bright days ahead for the game.
