Nice to get over the line. Every game seems to be close in IPL, this was one hell of a game here in Delhi. It's crazy to finish off with three run-outs. Was one of those games where we were kind of behind for a bit and then he managed to get us right back. Bowling coach was pretty happy. To nail six in a row in an over was amazing. To get three wickets by Karn it was massive, the only way to slow them down. We had to take wickets in the middle overs. Karun Nair's innings was special, playing his first game this season. The spinners who have bowled defensively have done well.

We had the game in the bag. Some soft dismissals and bad shots in the middle order. You can't leave it to the batters in the lower order everytime. Don't need to overthink, just one of those days. Was happy at the halfway stage. The ball was stopping initially but it got better. And then dew helped us further. Out of our three spinners, two can bowl in powerplay and death as well. Kuldeep is bowling unbelievably well. Need to forget this game from a batting point of view.

Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 12 runs.

What an incredible finish! The Mumbai Indians sealed their victory with THREE consecutive RUN-OUTS! The final dismissal proved particularly costly for DC, as it prevented Mitchell Starc from having a chance in the final over. The sequence unfolded when Mohit Sharma, positioned deep in his crease, received a full delivery on middle stump and deflected it towards mid-wicket. Though Starc called for a single, Mohit's delayed start proved fatal. Santner's precise direct hit caught Mohit well short of his ground. This brilliant piece of fielding effectively concluded the match in the second-to-last over.

Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir produced a blistering batting show to power Mumbai Indians past the 200-run mark for the first time in IPL 2025. Their fireworks in the middle and death overs lifted MI to 205/5 against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium — a much-needed statement from the five-time champions after a string of underwhelming performances.

Tilak continued his rich vein of form with a powerful 59 off just 33 balls, laced with 3 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 178.79.

Coming in at a crucial juncture with MI losing their top order, Tilak played a composed yet aggressive knock. He mixed timing with brute force, dominating the spinners while also targeting the pacers with calculated aggression.

His innings formed the backbone of MI’s revival after the dismissals of Ryan Rickelton (41 off 25) and Suryakumar Yadav (40 off 28), who had provided the initial impetus. Once Tilak settled in, he turned on the heat, especially between overs 13 and 18, when he launched into Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar.

His late assault ensured MI finished with a flourish, adding 67 runs in the final five overs.

The Delhi bowlers were largely off the mark, barring Kuldeep Yadav who once again delivered with figures of 2/32. Vipraj Nigam chipped in with two wickets, including the key scalps of Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, but couldn’t stem the flow of runs at the death.

With 205 on the board — their highest of the season — Mumbai Indians finally looked like the title contenders they are known to be.
