Henry Cejudo joins the league of former UFC champions in analyzing the career graph for Michael Chandler

Michael Chandler lost to Paddy Pimblett in the co-main event of UFC 314 via a knockout in the third round. Pimblett, who will now be moving into the top 10 of the lightweight division, immediately called out the top 5 fighters of the division, explicitly mentioning Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje and Arman Tsarukyan.
On the other hand, Chandler’s defeat was analyzed by former MMA veteran Michael Bisping as a “career killer.” In his video, the fighter stated, “I don’t say this lightly, but that was a career-killing performance for Michael Chandler. Yes, of course, he’ll fight again. Yes, he’ll still make money. Yes, people will wanna tune in. But that’s it, there is no more title talks, there is no more ‘See you at the top’. Paddy Pimblett just put an end to all of that.”

“I get it man. I am 0-3 now. So I get it Chandler. He probably just have to give one more and just consider retirement. That’s a lot of beatings man.”
Cejudo continued, “I think Chandler could have been the best in the world. I even told this to him, he is too much of a crowd-pleaser. And that has really bit him in the ass.” The fighter even recalled Mike Perry, after a few disappointing fights, left the UFC.
“I feel like Chandler, they’re probably gonna at this point, maybe the UFC might give him a younger guy, and that’s typically what happens in this game”
UFC fans had a mixed reaction to Cejudo’s statement. One of the users stated, “Yeah he is definitely not gonna be champ ever! Just give him one more fun fight and call it a day maybe gaethje/Dustin 2.”
