Telecom operator Airtel has announced new international roaming plans which offer unlimited data across 189 countries, alongside a 1-year recharge plan. The company claims that the new plans are designed for the NRI community and aims to offer simpler, more affordable and hassle-free connectivity experience.

The new unlimited plans rolled out by Airtel eliminate the complexities of choosing between different zones or packs and offer seamless connectivity for users across multiple transit airports or destinations. Customers can manage their roaming needs through the Airtel Thanks app, gaining real-time updates on usage, billing, and easy data or minute top-ups.

Other standout IR features include:

  • In-flight connectivity for uninterrupted travel.
  • Auto-activation of services upon landing overseas.
  • Auto-renewal for frequent travelers, removing the need to repurchase packs.
  • 24x7 contact center support for quick assistance.
  • Plans that are more affordable than most local SIM options, eliminating the hassle of acquiring country-specific SIM cards.

A Special 1-year recharge plan for NRIs

To cater to long-staying NRIs, Airtel has unveiled a unique ₹4000 recharge plan with 1-year validity, allowing seamless use both abroad and in India. This plan includes:
  • 5GB data and 100 voice minutes for use overseas.
  • 1.5GB daily data and unlimited calls while in India.
